Legal information and policies that govern our services and your use of our website.
Last updated: March 2025
These Hosting Terms & Conditions ("Hosting Terms") apply when Wright Websites ("we", "us", "our") provides hosting, infrastructure or related technical services for your website or application. They apply in addition to our Business Terms & Conditions where you have a broader agreement with us. By using our hosting services you agree to these Hosting Terms.
We will host your site or application on infrastructure we operate or that we arrange with third-party providers. The specific service level (e.g. uptime targets, support hours, backup frequency) will be set out in your order, statement of work or service description. We will use reasonable skill and care in providing the hosting services and will comply with applicable law in doing so.
You must: use the hosting services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Hosting Terms and any acceptable use policy we notify you of; not use the services to distribute malware, engage in phishing, spam or illegal activity, or to infringe third-party rights; keep your access credentials secure and notify us of any unauthorised use; and ensure that any content or data you store or transmit via our hosting complies with applicable law and does not place us in breach of any obligation to third parties (including providers).
You remain responsible for your data. We will process and store your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any data processing terms agreed between us. Backups (if included in your service) are for operational recovery purposes; we do not guarantee that any specific point-in-time recovery will be available unless expressly agreed in writing. You should maintain your own copies of critical data where appropriate.
We aim to keep the hosting environment available in line with any agreed service levels. We may carry out planned maintenance with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control (e.g. third-party provider failures, denial-of-service attacks, or your own configuration or content).
Hosting fees and billing cycles are as set out in your agreement with us. We may suspend or terminate hosting services for non-payment, breach of these Hosting Terms or our acceptable use policy, or where required by law. On termination, you are responsible for retrieving your data within any notice period we specify; we may delete data after that period. Refunds are only as set out in our Business Terms & Conditions or your contract.
Our liability in respect of hosting services is subject to the limitations and exclusions set out in our Business Terms & Conditions (or your main agreement with us). We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
We may update these Hosting Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when they were last revised. We will notify you of material changes (e.g. by email or notice in your account). Continued use of the hosting services after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
